What is a DPF and what does it do?

A diesel particulate filter, or DPF for short, removes the harmful particles of soot from the exhaust gas of a diesel engine to prevent them from being released into the atmosphere.

fuel consumption is increasing
the stop-start function does not work properly
there is an excess of exhaust smoke
